I've been using an effective little unit: 10 skinks and 1 kroxigor. with banner: 113 points without: 105. Either way, running these suckers around the flanks, chucking javelins and running in for a flank charge on an enemy held by a tougher unit has proved devastating. Having the krox's 7 leadership has helped a few times too. what I wonder is: Can I put the Kroxigor in the front Row? (to get the stomp on an attack?) I want to put them 7 wide total (3 skinks, Kroxigor, 2 skinks--skinks in 2 rows obviously) Can I do this? or does the Krox HAVE to be ranked up in the 2nd row? I've looked everywhere for a ruling but cannot find one. - Thanks!
As far as i'm aware its fine to do that. as you say if "it doesn't say you can't" then go for it. The main reason i put my krox in the second rank is they cannot be attacked in CC until enough skinks have been killed that they have to join the front rank. I like the theory though, might try it myself.
Page 53, first special rule 'spawn-kin', the second sentence says 'Kroxigors are always placed within the second rank, unless too few skinks remain in the front rank'. That answers that question.
