put simply, the kroxes have str 6 and a much better T and sv then skinks do, and they are generally awesome cuase they don't take up choices. :D

As mentioned somewere other place on the site, you get cheap ranked up units with the kroxis who can deal the neccesary damage..

I don't know how good they will be as an option for saurus becous I hasn't seen the new book yet :shifty: But I guess that if it's anywere near as good as in 5th edition they krox/skink combo will kick good as a shock troop.
Higher mov, harder hitting but a less armor... They will suit good to my flanks ;)

kroxigors are placed in the 2nd rank and can still land attacks with the great reach rule

so if you have 6 skinks in the front and two krox in the 2nd row that is 6 attacks from the skinks and 6 from the krox for a total of 12 attacks

only way to wound a krox is to work through the skinks until the krox have to step to the front line or shoot at the unit and roll a 5-6 for the shooting at mixed unit rule

kroxigor were never large targets to begin with... and skinks are not small targets...

its a mixed unit... think of skaven packmasters with their ogres... they can attack through their ogre and are shot on a 5-6

Actually, in the Greater Reach special rule it states that an enemy may choose to attack the skinks or Kroxigors, so long as there's only one skink between them and the Kroxigor, same applies for the Kroxigor attacking the skinks.

Oh my, take full blame on this one. That didn't come out like it was supposed too  What I ment was: I thought I'd heard they could be targeted and for that assumed they could be something like a large target, but at the same time I remembered GW was removing their Large target on the Carno... Too many thoughts comming out in dissorder ;)
Anyway, think Dalkarius filled us in on this one :)

The only way my kroxies were ever beat was on combat res. I charge, kill 4, lose combat but 3 and get a bad cold blooded roll and your lose. three ranks, a standard, outnumber will help that not happen. And the opponent has a choice. Kill the weak little guys and get crushed by the monsters or go for the monsters and deal with the high SCR. I love it and i cant wait to try it out.
