Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - August 2021

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Haha, I was worried you'd forgotten this month and I was literally in the process of typing out my own post to start of the August thread :p

My goals for this month are:
  • Paint and base my Woogity Saurus cowboy.
  • Transfer my Citadel paints into dropper bottles.
  • Build my new shelf unit for my hobby area and reorganise all my hobby stuff.
  • Build 2 new paint racks that I'm getting for my birthday, and organise my paints.
  • Make magnetic storage boxes for my minis and attach magnets to the bases of all my painted minis.
  • If I have time, clean and prime some Temple Guard or some more Star Wars minis.

Yesterday and Sunday went up on finishing my Short Story entry, oh and also work. ;)

Now that I am back in the painting part of the hobby I'd like to have a clean table by the end of August.

That will mean:
- finish my objective markers (mostly done)
- finish the Kurnoth Hunters (two to go and bases for all three)
- paint my Lizardmen Blood Bowl team.
 
This month's plans:
- Decide on a general colour scheme for my army's Saurus and use it on the 12 Saurus warriors sitting on my desk
- Build the carnosaur and warriors out of the start collecting box which is currently en-route to my house
- Look at the cold one sculpts and cry gently on the inside
- Go and mug my cousin for the dark elf versions I KNOW he's got hiding in his garage
- Convert up 5 riders
- Paint up the warriors and carnosaur
- Varnish my Dwarf army since they're sucking up so much space on my hobby desk that should be dedicated to dinosaur friends :turtle:
 
Bam:

Goals for this month:
- Build 2 carnosaurs > Done and primed
- Finish my 40 skinks > Done
- Maybe build Knights > Done and primed

Paint:
- 5 Sagitarium > Done
- 6 Venatari > Done
- 1 Achilles Dread > Done forgive the use of one of our mighty beast for the base
- 1 Putrifier > Done
- 1 Tallyman > Done
- 3 Plaguemarines > Done
- 1 Chaplain on Motorbike > Done

Even add an immolator here and here.
 
Pretty sad, but I'd like to pump myself up and finish my Hierotitan basing... :(

(Yes, you heard me. Finish the BASING. Pretty sad.)

Then work out what I want to do next.

Need to get myself reinspired... The Rot Toads and Hierotitan had me going for a bit, but it all fizzled out...
