Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - January 2025

This thread is to get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views intheir personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Going to start the new year slowly.

Paint the spearmen I assembled in January

Prime the 10 saurus redcoats that will be February's goal

Bonus - Print, assemble and prime a special treat for myself, assuming I don't bungle it

Prime and preshade all US rangers (42 minis)
Assemble 2 US vehicles (probably stuart and halftrack)
Finish painting Slann
Preshade one unit of crisis battlesuits (weapons included)
Paint at least 3 DG models

If I get to modellers club:
Continue on german halftracks
Continue on Taunar

Edit: and also start working on Feathered serpent

Prime and preshade all US rangers (42 minis)
Assemble 2 US vehicles (probably stuart and halftrack)
Finish painting Slann
Preshade one unit of crisis battlesuits (weapons included) - primed, ready to preshade
Paint at least 3 DG models

If I get to modellers club:
Continue on german halftracks
Continue on Taunar

Still infectious, severe bronchitidis, slowly recovering. But now with inhaler and antibiotics, it is better. I think that in couple of days I'll be confident enough to paint some minis. Yay!

Update time:

Paint the spearmen I assembled in January - painted, just need to base them

Prime the 10 saurus redcoats that will be February's goal - not done yet

Bonus - Print, assemble and prime a special treat for myself, assuming I don't bungle it - working on it, but it's a process and I'm still working out the fine details of 3d printing. Had a few misprints, but I will persevere.

On the upside, I have managed to print some cannons for the Bastiladon I plan to do down the line. As a friend joked, they'll be very Turok

Prime the 10 saurus redcoats that will be February's goal - Primed

Bonus - Print, assemble and prime a special treat for myself, assuming I don't bungle it - The last piece shall be printing today, but likely won't finish before the day's end. Regardless, I'll mark it as a Printed.

Might/will require some green stuff to fill in some gaps, but for a first proper use of a 3d printer, I'm proud of it. And it was a learning experience, which is the important part.

I have done more than I thought I'd do this month, but less progress on the Gondor board than I'd have liked.
