Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - July 2025

This thread is to get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

June Goals:

Continue to contemplate how to handle the tails of the 95th Rifles Chameleon Skinks
While at it, may as well convert the two squads (sans those tails unless I decide on my chosen path to tailing them up)
Paint up a minimum of three random minis from the grey brigades
Assemble a bastiladon and build up a howdah or platform to put a naval cannon upon

Bonus/Optional:

Assemble and paint some more archers
Paint 95th Rifle Chameleons if I decide and act on the tails
 
My goals for this month:

- Finish painting my Trogolodon to enter in the Feathered Serpent contest
- Paint the two Silver Units of the Rampart faction from Heroes of Might and Magic the board game.
- Paint 4 Uruk-hai warriors with crossbow (conversions)
- Paint a Kroxigor

- Write a story to enter in the Short-story contest

Will see what gets done...

This month should be pretty diverse:

-paint Max the Tomcat boardgame custom minis
-prime and basecoat M3 halftrack
-put at least green basecoat on Taunar
-print and paint custom modified magnetised Quar tractor
-paint rest of commision nids (3+10 minis)
-paint at least 10 Trench crusade models
-varnish, put decals and second varnish on Stuart
 
First update of the month:

-paint Max the Tomcat boardgame custom minis - done
-prime and basecoat M3 halftrack - primed, rannout of paint
-put at least green basecoat on Taunar - proper shade of green premixed to bottle
-print and paint custom modified magnetised Quar tractor - 3D model done, printbed made
-paint rest of commision nids (3+10 minis) - 3 minis almost done, 10 preshaded
-paint at least 10 Trench crusade models - 10 done
-varnish, put decals and second varnish on Stuart - first coat of varnish done, forgot decals at home :D

Bonus: kitbashed wardog preshaded
 
Second update of the month:

-paint Max the Tomcat boardgame custom minis - done
-prime and basecoat M3 halftrack - primed, new paint bought
-put at least green basecoat on Taunar - proper shade of green premixed to bottle
-print and paint custom modified magnetised Quar tractor - done
-paint rest of commision nids (3+10 minis) - all 13 almost done
-paint at least 10 Trench crusade models - 10 done
-varnish, put decals and second varnish on Stuart - first coat of varnish done, decals done

Bonus:
kitbashed wardog preshaded
Started working on feathered serpent entry
 
My Entry for the Feathered Serpent is in:

- Finish painting my Troglodon to enter in the Feathered Serpent contest
- Paint the two Silver Units of the Rampart faction from Heroes of Might and Magic the board game.
- Paint 4 Uruk-hai warriors with crossbow (conversions) (this will be next month)
- Paint a Kroxigor (probably not getting far with this one)

- Write a story to enter in the Short-story contest
(The idea needs to find a solid form yet... A start is on paper yet)

Every goal that I could do at home or in the office is done. Now I need to get some time to get to modeller's club to finish everything else.

This month's wrap-up:

- Paint a Kroxigor (I have applied some base layers to see how I will get to it, but nothing fancy yet)

- Write a story to enter in the Short-story contest
(I have started the story and by the grace of @Scalenex I have some extra time to work it out fully)
