Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - October 2022 This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple. At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else. Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link. Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link. The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc. You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section. If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress Grrr, Imrahil
My goals for October: Finish painting 14 Commando Droids. Finish painting the Crashed Escape Pod. Finish painting R2 and 3P0. Play some matches of SWL or 8th Edition. Bonus - Start painting Bossk or a Bastiladon.
-Finish EOTG (Almost done) -Paint 3 salamander handlers -At least assemble and prime 3 stegadons -Paint those bloody temple guards already! -unit of 4 Panthers (FoW) -unit of 4 Tigers (Fow)
Gonna keep it simple this month: - Slapchop some Skinks! - Base some of them, if the bases I ordered arrive in a reasonable time - Plan color scheme for Troglodon - Start Slann Mage Priest conversion?
I am transferring the two unfinished goals from last month to October and add some to it: - Finish my Skink Starpriest (nearly there) - Finish painting Scenery Bridge pieces (just a highlight to be done) - Finish a Nazgûl on foot model - Finish 5 Skinks with blowpipe and shield. And in the spirit of Orctober: - Finish 4 MESBG Mordor Orcs Last but not least I'd like to have another game night with my brother. Grrr, !mrahil
This month I'll just push forward some of the projects im working on currently and note them at the end, since my october idea got pushed away.

Late on goals this month. Sorry. 1. Paint 30 miniatures or equivalent in my painting blog/scales. 2. Prime tower terrain 3. Clean and reorganize hobby space.
Goal of the month reset the hobby space After some incident in the basement I had to move all my setup, perhaps a good time to figure out where I’ll put my printers and paint booth so I guess build a paint booth as well!!
So in looking back at my hobby resolutions for this year: Green means I have painted at least one model from this category (preferably many more than just one), while yellow means I have started, but not finished a model from this category. No border means no progress yet. I have painted some Deathwatch, Necromunda, and just recently some Blitzbowl models so far this year. I started my skywings, but the grail chapel stalled out (I don't think I will finished that one this year, lost the inspiration ). I still hope to paint some Blood and Plunder this year, and want to paint some zombicide this month!
I'm going to have to adjust my goals. Our landlord is evicting us and we need to find a new place and pack everything up. As such, I can't see room for much hobby time for the rest of the month. I've finished the 14 Commando Droids and I played a match of SWL yesterday so I achieved a couple of goals already luckily.
A little late to it, but I intended to start and finish painting a Slann Starmaster (halfway there woop woop!), and then clip off, clean up and assemble all 40 of my saurus warriors in my grey pile of shame.
That's a wrap for me this month. I've managed to make some progress on some models. Assembled terradons (minus the collars and riders) Pushed forward some work on Saurus (started sculpting their necks and figured out how to make new scales for the legs) Fully assembled a side project model Im kinda busy for the rest of october so I have to end early, but since I had no specific goals there's no loss. Things should go back to normal in november so I'll see you all next time. Have a safe and spooky rest of october
Well... It seems that today is my last hobby day for this month, so let's summarize it. I finished EOTG. I managed to paint those handlers (ish... Considering I found out after few days laterthat feathers are unpainted). As for stegadons, I've just glued all those bamboos in place and I still need to attach shields to them before priming. Temple guards are mess. I tried to brush them with wet toothbrush to lighten red speedpaint by reactivating it and let me tell you that this was blind alley. Never do that. They are scheduled for isopropyl spa and then I can start over. As for tanks, I managed to at least paint tracks on panthers and put decals on both platoons. Now for unplanned stuff I actualy finished: Trio of intercessors Unit of Kroxigors Unit of Chameleon skinks Kroak (take a look at my blog, you'll see what I mean) AND THE BIGGEST SUCCESS! I varnished most of my army. That is something I thought I'll be able to do in next year (at best). Now I only need to wait for basing supplies to arrive and I can put proper jungle on bases, but that is task for another day (read month).
Hello, I'm new here. This thread seems a good point for the first post, so let's go into it. knowing that the month is going to finish It can be even more challenging, so I will try to keep it realistic for this weekend: 1- I will try to get a decent koatl's claw battle list ready, even if it's sketchy. I used to play at fantasy 10 years ago, hooked again but everything looks diferent with this sigmar thing, sow I'm actually new and I was been going trough all the rules and so on, so pulling the list will be quite challenging. 2- find inspiration for a color scheme of my units. 3- If I suceed in the first point, start to look how invest in packs and convertions to build the entire army efficently. Let's se how it goes. glad to be here, great comunity, hope be able to contribute soon.

Welcome and don't worry about list building. I wanted to learn the rules since july and I am nowhere near putting together list than I was then. Important thing is lizards riding dinosaurs!

(I had a get together with my brother to brainstorm about our next campaign and we have set a format we would like to try.
