First off, sorry if this has been discussed before but I haven't seen much discussion. I was having a bit of a chat with my friend today, and the idea of suddenly sporting as many Stegs and Carno's as possible came up. At 3k points, you can fit 2 easily in your heroes, 3 as special and 2 as rare. And with an Oldblood on a Carno as your Lord. Backed up by a few decent sized groups of Saurus, and With Camo skinks and CoR as your special fillers, that seemed like a decent army to try out. My question here is.... Has anyone else given this a thought / tryout? I know you limit your magic, but... the sheer hitting potential seems almost too great. You'd have multiple targets for cannons/war machines to attempt to whittle down, and if they did, your Saurus would eventually make it to the lines and start smashing their faces. Anyone? -Bauhus
Carno lord. Stegodn priest/chief The minimum amount in core, likely in two blocks of saurus maybe a few skirmishers. Two-three addditional stegs in rare and special, and if points allow some camos to hunt those pesky warmachines.
I've thought about testing at 2400 points: Lord Tehenhauin on Ancient Steg w/ Engine Hero Skink Priest on Ancient Steg w/ Engine Rare 2x Ancient Steg Special Reg Steg Core 2x 25 Saurus w/ FC Leaves some points for other magical mystery stuff. At 2k, change the 2x Ancient stegs to 2x Reg Stegs.
