Had a tournement the other weekend and did ok . finished mid table 3 wins 2 losses. What I noticed is ogre players had 4 in the top 5 followed by some vamps. Now the ogre armies were all pretty much the same massive unit of ironguts full of characters and mournfang. nothing can stop it unless you are really lucky with spells. vampires have their bloodknight bus with vamps with asf and red fury. Im struggling to see what lizardmen can do to make similar unkillable units to thilf it up abit
basicly... we don't at least not in 8th. In 7th we had some big advantages with out saurus wariors and Stegadons. but a lot of those advantages dissapeared with new rule changes.
slann and temple guard + cha'kax? with the slann using life, beasts, light (or even metal?) with stegadons on either side?
Just quoting here "Thish shtuff'l make you a god-damn sexual tyrranashaurush" from predator. I'm just picturing that Okay, cant post pic, so look up rainbow trex. It should come up with a vomiting trex.
a Saurus unit with 5 to 6 scarvets on cold ones in the front rank and a beastslann in the second rank. bubble savage beast of horros, bubble pans pelt and wildform is my only idea for a super mega deathstar 6 scarvets with an 1 plus armor save toughness 9 and 7 str 9 attacks each should kill a big unit of ironguts in no time. you can even throw a lightslann in there aswell if you have the points and are feeling crazy.
It costs way too much as a fact. That's nearly 900 points (with a naked slann) for…some sup-par chaos warriors that won't run from combat.
Vampires aren't all that, I've managed to take them out pretty easily. Their cavalry is awful and can be easily taken out by ranged attacks. Also, spells like dwellers destroy them.
How would a life slann and 19 Krox work XD run 4 wide 5 back? Also, people at my game store think lizardmen (Saurus especially) are utter cheese
