If the temple guard champion where equiped with gold sigil sword that gives initiative 10 would it cancel out the re-roll that comes from other with always strike first and high initiative. For example a unit a dark elf charges you and they have always strike first and higher initiative that gives them a re-roll on failed to hit but if anyone in your unit has higher initiative then the dark elf they will not get re-roll to hit? Is this correct and would it be worth to take sigil sword on the temple guard?
Only attacks aimed at the champion wearing the sword wont benefit from the reroll, so its good in duels, but wont help the rest of your temple guard much at all
Im afraid thats not right. The sigil sword makes the wielders attacks resolve at initiative 10, it dosnt change the wielders stats. The wielder will still have his own initiative value, meaning the re-roll still applies... also: you would not be able to take an initiative test at 10 either. Its still good for duels though, and perfectly fine for a TG champ.
yes, but the gold sigil dosnt give you 10 in initiative, it makes attacks made with the sword resolve at initiative 10. as hdc points out: the ASF sword is needed for if you want that effect.
Only the ones that are targeting him. The lore of light has two spells (The speed of light and Bironas timewarp) that will cancel out the reroll for the whole unit!
