    Hi guys

This Friday, (after the Greenskins and Beastmen have duked it out savage style) we’re having our first T&T game, 1250pts each. Might get bumped up all the way to 2000pts, still undecided. For every 500pts you get 100pts to hire mercs, right?

The opposition will consist of a host of Nurgle Daemons and a battalion from the Empire province of Nuln. If there are any survivors from the previous battle then there might be some Beastmen and Greenskins left to fight as well.

Since I’m in the beginning of starting a DE army, I thought I’d include some as mercenaries just to try them out. I haven’t assembled much yet but I’ll fix whatever I need in time for the game. This is what I have:

    • 1 Scourgerunner / Cold One Chariot
5 Dark Elf Cold One Knights
10 Doomfire Warlocks / Black Riders
      1 Dark Elf Supreme Sorceress
      1 Dreadlord / Master
20 Witch Elves / Sisters of Slaughter
      10 Dreadspears / Darkshards / Bleakswords
20 Har Ganeth Executioners / Black Guard
      2 Reaper Bolt Throwers

Right off the bat I was thinking a Master (70) and some Doomfire Warlocks (125), leaves me with 5pts to give the Master some basic protection or a weapon. This should take care of my magic need and I could focus on fighty scar-vets and old blood. ;)

Anybody got any other interesting ideas in mind? Other suggestions and tactical advice is much appreciated since, like I said, this will be my first T&T game :)

What role will the master play? Warlocks is awesome but i would rather have boltthrowers or something lizardmen don't have. Maybe a master on a pegasus is nice and have role but just a master?

From what I understand you need a hero/lord to act as a "general" for the mercs. But yeah, he really doesn't have a good role like you say. It would be really fun to be on the other side of the scope for once with some bolt throwers, unfortunatley it's too expensive to take two. If we decide to go for more points I think I'll take them :) i think they really complement lizardmen well, we need some artillery! ;)

Oh, i see! If they need a general it make sense. If you would have more points i would rather recommend you taking a Sorceress. lvl 2 or 3. But yea, if you are low on points, take a master and a warlock unit. Warlocks rocks if you use them right =)
