Greetings everyone! Pseudo-new member to this site (see my introduction post), posting my second-first army list here. I've been out of the Fantasy hobby for a few years now (pretty much since not long after 8th edition came out), as a result of a busier real life combined with generally attending 40k events at Warhammer World (Throne of Skulls, Battle Brothers etc). However, a couple of my friends recently decided we should get back into the Fantasy hobby and so we have decided to attend the Battle Brothers event in May. Now, I wish to clarify, that this is a tournament, but if anyone here has been to a Battle Brothers event at WHW they will know it's far from being the most competitive, WAAC type event. Furthermore, my partner and I are both acutely aware that we are very rusty with Fantasy at the moment and we don't expect to win very much. What we do expect is that it will prove a very enlightening and educational time, with a steep learning curve to launch us back into WFB. Anyway, enough babble. The list we're compiling is based mostly on "units we think are cool or might, maybe be good", and we'll take it from there. However, I thought it wouldn't hurt to get some guidance from some experienced Lizardmen players in this matter! So, onto the list. The army is a 2000 point army, and the army building percentages apply to each of us individually, rather than the combined army as a whole (at least, that's what my friend told me), since we aren't taking the same race. So we are aiming to split the points 50/50 and take 1000 points each. What my friend is planning is a new Ogre army, something along the lines of: Firebelly 5 Ironguts (that are joined by the Firebelly) 3 Maneaters Ironblaster Some one-model unit Sabretusks (however many he can fit in with his remaining points) He's still at the planning stage and hasn't decided exactly what he's taking, but it's going to be roughly along these lines. This is a brand new army for him, so he may end up having to fall back on his existing High or Dark Elf armies if he doesn't get the Ogres finished in time. Fortuantely, I already have some Lizardmen (some are even painted!) so to go along with the Ogres, this is what I'm planning (and this is what I would like your advice on): Gor-Rok 17 Saurus with Spears and Shields 10 Skink Skirmishers 10 Skink Skirmishers 4 Ripperdactyls Ancient Stegadon with Sharpened Horns (because I have the giant blowpipe howdah already built and painted, but not the giant bow) This comes in just shy of 1000 points, with room to add in maybe another Ripperdactyl, or a few more Skinks. As I mentioned above, I'm very rusty at WFB and don't expect to come up with a winning army list straight off the bat, but some guidance on some of this would be much appreciated. For example, if any units are catastophically bad, or there's something super awesome I've missed out, or even just minor tweaks or some tactics to use. Thanks in advance for your help.
