 Does scaly skin count as regular armor in terms of damage from lore of metal?
I hope it doesn't ... if it does that makes no sense because scales aren't metal.

Yes, scaly skin does count in toward the armour save when using the lore of metal. As for not making sense, I gave up worrying about game logic long ago and now just enjoy the ride on the crazy train :D

We've always played it so it doesn't count toward effects from the Lore of Metal, being scales and not actually metal. We found the concept ambiguous enough to discuss it and lay down a general rule, however I don't know what the 'official' line is.

The lore uses armour save values as roll to wound. Scaly Skin is an armour save as noted in the rulebook. Therefore, Lore of Metal effects Scaly Skin.

There used to be a diference back in 5th edition...
(strenght couldn't negate scaley skin save only armor)

The only current rule I can think of for scale skin is...
that it doest stack with other scaley scin.
