My primary gaming opponent plays dwarves most of the time. He likes cannons. My favorite unit is Stegadons. My first battle with Stegadons he killed a Steggy on round one and another on round two. Since then I just stopped using Stegadons in battles versus dwarves. I'm hoping to use my new Carnosaur soon, but I think they'd be just as vulnerable to cannons. How do you use big dinos when you are expecting cannons? I've done okay against dwarves since going on a dino diet, but I still have trouble against cannons, and grudge throwers, and artillery of all sorts. Any tips on war machine hunting?
Its really an all or nothing thing. Either field 2 stegs and a carno and get them into battle ASAP or don't field any at all. Also on the monster list go heavy chamo skinks, Or request to play with more terrain so you can hide behind hills for a turn or two to let the chamos get to work.
yea load up on chamo skinks if you want to bring the dinos. They are capable of killing cannons/wm on your first turn as well if you can deploy/manuver them correctly. Terrodons are sometimes more usuful if the enemy is packed in a tight line so the chamoes cant get through but that usually isnt the case.
