A very fun game, although a short one. The lizardmen had L: Oldblood on Carno w/mirror shield, sun scimitar, talisman of protect H: Skink chief on ancient steg w/ stegadon warspear Skink priest level 2 on ancient steg w/ 2xdispell scroll Scar-Vet on Cold One w/ Warbanner (BSB) C: 3x11 Skink Skirmishers 18 Saurus Warriors 3 Jungle Swarms S: 8 Cold One w/ full command & Jaguar Standard R: 2x1 Salamanders w/ extra handler WOC L: Chaos Lord on Juggernaut H: 3 Random wizards. 2 were level 2, 1 was a level 1. C: 30 Mauruaders w/ full command 14 Chaos Hounds 2x12 Warriors S: 12 Chaos Chosen 10 Chaos Knights R: Chaos Spawn WOC went first, and was expecting to fight a slann so brought a magic list. Had some decent spells but nothing really powerful ever got through. His spawn did get an 18 inch march though, but that put him into position to be charged by my swarms, which beat it but took a few turns and 2 swarms. My turn I got a few shots off, didnt do to much. I had lore of heavens 1 & 2, so that didnt come in too handy, plus he could easily dispell anything. Unfortunately I miscasted, but the skink priest came out on top. His next turn he charged my skinks with hounds, which turned out to be immune to poison! Broke them and caught them same turn, and almost got a salamander too. Again his magic wasnt too bad for me, just got poor rolls on good spells and good rolls on lame spells. My turn I started sending 2 units of skinks and a salamander after his 3 wizards he left to the side to cast magic. Only got 1 wound, but they were in trouble being all out on their own. charged his huge mauraders unit with my coldones, carnosaur, and skink chief on ancient steg. Also killed some with EoTGs. Didnt get any magic through, but close combat was a massacre. 2d6+1 impact hits followed by some 35 attacks, and the mauraders broke and were caught. This lead the coldones and carnosaur to charge a unit of warriors and the skink chief to charge the unit of chosen. both broke and both were caught and charged a second unit of warriors, annhiliating them. captured 4 standards and killed 66 troops on that charge! a great day for the old ones. After that he only had some hounds (not worried about), 3 wizards (about to be pummeled by 22 skinks, a salamander, and a skink priests EoTG), and his knights w/ juggernaut (the only unit I was worried about, but they werent in charge distance of anything, giving me a turn to prepare!) so he conceded after turn 2. Kind of a sore loser about it I think, but I dont blame him. His army was basically wiped out in a turn. There was a 1300 point difference already.
Forgot to mention basically all his units had full command squads, which didnt help him in the least.
Yup, full commands are worthless IMHO, though champs in units you plan on having characters in is good for challenge purposes. Over all it sounds like you had some good coordination with charges and you didn't let the hounds killing off your skinks deter you. Way to pound it to WoC!
