    Important stuff though:

    Armies construction will follow the guide listed below.
    • 2000 points
    • Any Grand Army or Army of Infamy list may be used (Including Renegade factions).
    • Unit selections are limited to the restrictions in the army list, OR0-6 for core units and 0-3 for character, special, and rare units, whichever is fewer.
    • No Allies

    Scenarios
    The event will use 4 of the scenarios from the rulebook, having one repeated for the first and last rounds of the event:
    • Open Battle
    • Meeting Engagement
    • Mountain Pass
    • Flank Attack
    • Open Battle
    Scoring
    Scoring will be done using a 20-0 system. Each game will be scored based on the difference in victory points each player earns (Victory points are scored in the same ways as described in the Warhammer: The Old World rulebook). Work out the difference in victory points and consult the table below.

    Our Lizard Player had the following
    16 / 11 / 14 / 20 / 10

    Ill list the opponents and if they had a dragon/equivalent, and # of mages

    Round 1: High Elves (no dragons, 1 x lvl 4 w/ high magic)
    Round 2: Chaos Dwarves (black orc warboss on wyvern, 1 x level 4 w/ elementalism)
    Round 3: Bretonnians, Erranty Crusade (2 paladin on barded pegasus, Lady Élisse Duchaard w/ elementalism)
    Round 4: Tomb Kings, Mortuary Cults (2 x level 4, one on a bone dragon w/ illusion, one on foot w/ necromancy, 1 x level 1 w./ elementalism)
    Round 5: Vampire Counts (1 x level 4 on mortis engine w/ necromancy, 1 terrorgheist in rare)

    Really surprised the 20-0 win was vs mortuary cults. My guess is the battle magic, EoTG and Solar Beam all just did sooooo much flaming attacks, the Khemri player just couldn't cope.

    Looking at his list is both awesome and dissapointing. The dual carnos has me STOKED. The "oops, all skinks" aspect of the rest of it is rather sobering. I really don't want to just play 62 skinks. That's not why I picked lizardmen as an army.

    BUT we all know what they do and do well. I get that.

    What I am intrigued by is the Slann. No discipline. No protection. Just relying on his natural 5+ ward.

    The lore familiar with battle magic is intriguing. Obviously avoiding oaken shield on a Slann, but what else was he taking I wonder. You can't charge out of the coneyance spell (since you wouldn't be in the correct subphase). I wonder if he was using arcane urgency to make the bastilladon keep up with the carnosaurs. Great way to get those great weapons swinging at a high I.

    I wonder if he was taking Arrow Attraction as well just to really help the skinks with their million poison shots.

    Well I would not count this a lot. He had just been lucky. Let's analyse the enemies.
    No HE, no Chaos (and their dragons can simply reduce your carnosaurs in pieces) no shout list from vampire counts or something similar. No tzeeentch lists with +6 casting killing easily skinks.
    No orc an goblins and fanatics....the most played faction and well performing in my tournaments are just these. No idea why in that tournament there were zero of such.

    I wonder too if the bretonnian player hade duke on paladin with monster slayer...it doesn't seem so (and its pretty automatically that you have to play this)

    I'm a bit surprised that this list did so well. It's not a bad list by any means, and you can see the pieces that made it win (skinks skinks skinks). But I feel like the Slann is a weak link that's easily sniped + there's no Arcane Vassal to really make him worth his points. I like the battle magic + lore familiar though!

    Also a bit strange to take 2x Oldbloods and then eguip them both with less than 30pts of magic items. I feel like a Scar-vet might've been a better choice here.

    Very cool to see a different take on the lizards doing so well.

    It would be interesting to try 2 carnosaur but I guess that a well equipped oldblood on cowboy could do much better. I don’t know but maybe a oldblood on cold one with 360 degree charge is better than a scar vet on carnosaur with anything except gw and charmed shield. Maybe I am wrong of course

    If you play the skink on Stegadon you have to take battle magic, the signature spell is so strong to don’t be taken.

    An oldlord on cold one have only a 50% chance to make a 6 charging an hero on dragon, after that you are dead if not my hits by stomps. And enemies have ward saves too. So personally I don’t like it

    It's a shame we are about 10 points over being able to have a Slann with lore familiar, carno,og-blade,tal-prot and a chief of a stegadon.

    Sorry but I don’t really agree. Stegadons aren’t so good except against infantry. Cavalry can easily flank them, monsters with great weapon kill them too quite easily. Yeah of course 4 Stegadons and a carnosaur are tough but I am not sure it will win against for example a Beastman multi monster or against a Bretonnia full of counter charge. Even a chaos could easily eat you up.

    Also, alot of tournaments won't let you spam 8 of the same core. Seeing 3 non-core, 6 core be pretty standard
