    Hello all,

This is my first ever battle report so please be gentle with me.

Last night I played a 4000 point battle I had 2000 points of lizards and allied with a dark elf force against one 4000 point list of vamps, 2 players combined.

    My list:
Slann, rumination, mystery, ethereal, becalming, plaque of protection, cube of darkness, life
skink priest, ancient steg eotg, dispell scroll
    25 saurus, full command
22 skinks, full command, 2 kroxigors
    steg ancient
    steg
    5 chamelion skinks, stalker

darkelfs had a level 4 death with stabby dagger in 30 spears, master bsb on cold one with 9 coldone knights, 20 xbows, 15 black guard, hydra, 2 chariots.

vamps manfred, level 4 necro, level 2 necro, white king bsb, 40 grave guard, 90 zombies, 2 hordes of 40 skellies, 2x10 wolves, 5 vargheists, vargulf, 15 black knights, 2 terrorgehists.

Don't really remember all the spells people got.

So we basically stacked the right flank. They won the roll off for the first turn.

Vanguard Dire wolves move to stop the Chaemos getting to the Vargheists.
    VC Turn

No charges. The dire wolves make a V to prevent the Chaemos being able to get out of charge arcs. The vamps generally advance/shamble forwards the only thing of note is that manfred moves into some terrain behind the grave guard and loses a wound.

Magic sees them not do a lot of note until Manfred kills my eotg steg with a ld death spell.

    Dark lizards turn 1

No charges, we generally advance and slightly reposition ourselves ready for some turn 2 charges. The Chaemos position themselves in front of the unit of dire wolves nearest our lines.

Magic we get 7 dice I get 3 of them. Slann gets throne up, casts felsh to stone and thorns on the skinks expecting the knights charge finally drop a knight with awakening. The dark elf sorceress casts power of darkness which is dispelled, she then kills a spearmen and casts caress of laniph on Manfred, he loses 2 more wounds.

Shooting sees the chaemos drop 6 wolves, they may yet survive. The sorceress then uses some magic crossbow thing to drop Manfred down to his last wound!

    Vamps turn 2

The wolves charge my poor skinks, They stand and shoot killing 3 leaving only one left (he eventually kills all the skinks due to a series of failed fear tests.

The knights try a risky long range charge on my ancient steg and manage to make it in. doh.

The vamps generally shuffle forwards and position themselves ready for charges. Except for the Terrorgheist near all the stegs which jumps in front of my baby steg in an effort to kill it with its ranged attack.

Magic sees them roll 10 dice! They start with a bubble heal, out comes the cube, and a lucky 4+ later sees a rather worried looking Manfred sitting on 1 wound.

The Terrorgeist fires at the steg which manages to hang onto its last wound somehow.

In combat the knights do absolutely nothing and are struck back by an angry ancient steg that kills 2. The steg still loses combat but passes his test thanks to the slann. No more strength 6 for you mr knights.

    Dark lizards turn 2

All you really need to know is we killed manfred, healed my steg and killed both their terrorgheists. We played a few more turns but it was a done deal when manfred died.
