my list carnosaur oldblood with BOR and enchanted shield. scarvet cold one sword of might, wardrum priest diamdem eotg priested eotg power stone 15 spear saurus 15 spear saurus 10 saurus 10 skirmish skinks 10 skirmish skinks 5 chameleons 3 terradons his list rune lord rune smith 2 thanes 20str long bears 20 str warrioer 20 strong ironbreakers 10 slayers w/2 giant slayers 2 bolt throws and volley gun gunners xbow men had +3 to dispel ( he was thinking i was running slann magic heavy list. well my list definilty was not optimal for dwarfs but i tried it out anyway. could not roll a 5ward to save any of my engines. long story shorted we tied with a 15 point difference. both lost our lords. unit of slayers took a charge from stegadon and carno saur, one lived. got counter charged by runlord and iron breakers. old blood challenged. he failed to wound, let carnosaur hit first. wounded and killed rune lord, got shafted by rulebook, stated in a challenge if the rider kills the enemy then the mount gets to work out its attacks as normal then challenge is over, but does not say the other way around so old blood did nothing. broke from combat rez in turn 2 fled off table. 3 turns later with help of 10 unit of saurus in flank of iron breakers the steg broke iron breakers and caught the bsb. eventually both priest died. saurus held strong, organ gun misfired and blew up turn 4 in the end it looked bad for me but he only managed a tie in his favor by 15 points.
Where were the Chameleons and Skirmishers in all of this? Also the Terradons. I didn't see the battle but I would have gone after his Organ Gun and Bolt Throwers right away with the Terradons. I find they can often rid me of pesky war machines.
terradons went afer organ gun, bolt throwers where on each side of the field. rocks did not kill anyone ans a bolt thrower killed one and the organ gun killed on before i could get a charge on it. chamelons were working there way to the bolt thrower but didnt make it.
