For what I think to be the last year and a half I have been playing my O&G completly but with the dawn of this new edition and some fun games with the old greenskins I have decided to dust off my lizards and set them loose on my foes. For this list I'am going against a WoC player who is very experienced and capable. This is what my list comprises:

    Lord: 350 pts.
    Slann
    2 Disciplines: Rumination and mystery
    B.S.B
    Cube of Darkness

    Hero: 415 pts.
    Skink Priest
    LV.2
    EoTG
    Diadem of power

    Hero: 116
    Scar-vet
    L. Armor
    Carn. Pendant
    G. Weapon

    Core: 305 pts.
    25 saurus
    Full C.

    Core:305 pts.
    25 Saurus
    Full C.

    Core 330 pts.
    25 Saurus
    Full C.
    Spears

    Core: 70 pts.
    1o Skirmish Skinks

    Special: 451 pts.
    26 T. Guard
    Full C.

    Rare: 70 pts.
    2 Sallies

    Total: 2492

The idea behind this is to have the slann take the lore of life, which will make my close combat unit more beastly than they already are along with potentially killing a large chunk of the hoard of maurarders he will have, and keep the EoTG close to the slann bunker so that it will have LD 9 rerolled stubborn checks in close combat along with the magic from the priest on top. The scar-vet can bolster any one of my units thats farthest from the Slann or on that isn't powered up by magic. The 26 T. Guard will protect the slann hold the center and grind down any unit it faces. The skinks make for good harrasment along with the salamanders that will shred armored units and low armored units. My opponent will have vicous magic to make up for his lack of shooting which is why I have the cube of darkness and Diadem of power. If you have ideas I would like to hear them and Kudos for my ideas wouldn't hurt either. If theres any other info u need just ask and i will get back to you ASAP. Thanks for your help

Careful - your not supposed to list the individual point costs.

Also, I think youve got some rather bad math.

2 Sala's does not cost 70. Hell, 1 sala does not cost 70.

For scar vet, drop Pendant and take Armour of Destiny. 2+ AS, 4+ ward save and 4 S7 attacks, should last long in challanges

I would personnaly drop the Engine vs WoC. I'd much rather have an Ancient Steg and some more troops. Do you know if he's planning on running a Hellcanon? If so, chameleons are a must. If not, I guess keeping the EoTG isn't such a bad idea.

I'd make the small magic item adjustement proposed earlier by Juahaaha and definitely check my math on the salamanders :p.

In addition to what has already been sugested I would ad becalming cogitation on the slann. if he goes for a lot of magic then Becalming cogitation is very likely to win you the game.

Apologies upon my mistakes it wont happen again. I will be more wary in the future. As for what u guys have said: No he wont be using a hellcannon, he never does, and i do like the armor of destiny and the extra discipline seem very useful. As towards what his army will b like he usually just takes alooot of warriors and maurarders. Maybe chariots, although thats a little doughtful, and maybe a shaggoth. any perticular tactics I should employ to fight these?
