    Hey
This weekend I'm going to battle a Empire player.
I can expect hard lords and heroes + battle priests. Min 2 cannons and lots of cavalery.

I decided not to go Magic as empire can have pritty strong magic defence.
I'd prefer the usual oldblood on carno + stega and sallies.

How is your experience with Empire and got any good tips for me ?
I know I can expect my stegadon to be dead in 1-2 turns and probably my Oldblood too.
( If my Terries fail to to their job)
As these people just snipe him (aiming for certain unit but gessing too much to hit lord)

Hows best way to destroy this 'shooty horde" army ?

    thx

Give him too much to kill, Old blood on carny, multiple steggies, EotG is a MUST against that army. Even two if you really want to win. The ward save + no armour saves damage is the perfect match up against his shooting + knights.

Empire are probably one of the weekest armies right now... the sooner cc happens for you the better

I would go fo a Slann immune to nonmagical attacks and lore of metal or fire. Some stegadons of course and skirmish units (terradons, sallies or razors)for outflanking him. Try not to stretch your expensive units on the whole battleline as Empire gunlines usually capture the most of their deployment. Staying on the one side just saves you from many shots against you. Make good use of the terrain and try to support your units with one another. No ''kamikaze'' tactics against a gunline. ;)

Absolutely not! There still on par with the rest and still win tournaments. Though, you said you will be facing a cavalry based army. Ok now thats not that hard. If he fielded loads of blackpowder, steamtanks, waralter you would have a harder time. I think you will do fine with the stegadons. Knights will have a hard time wounding him. And if you get the charge of, they will most likely turn to bloody pulp.

This counts for all your units. In combat you should be able to take him out easaly.Cold one riders, stegadons, kroxigors, everything will work. Try to redirect some units with skinks to get the charges off you want.

I would also suggest at least 3 terradons to get rid of the cannons, because they can ruin your day. Also don't underestimate salamanders. -3 armour safe is fantastic vs empire, and if he fields swordmen, you can frie rank after rank.

I wouldn't take a carnosaur, because the beasty has the nice ability to die when people shoot at him. A oldblood on cold one will do fine. ;)

Consider using lore of life, Empire means some guns - and the terraine can be your ally (woods, hills etc for the spells) as well as being able to heal multi wound models with gift of life.

Watch out for detachments, I lost a 15 strong unit of spearmen with an oldblood in it due to to my ranks being negated.
