Hi guys, Sorry I haven't been on here in a while but I need to ask for your help. I was playing in GT and faced two vampire armies and got my scally ass handed to me on a plate. I have played a couple of vamp armies before and have done ok against them. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks Bell
I have only faced them a couple of times myself, but I believe if you kill the vampire count, the army starts to crumble (similar to Tomb Kings). Anyway, that is the way I would go after them.
I've only played against them with my dwarves, but essentially that is correct. Hit the magic users hard, and their army should crumble. Watch out for blood knights too, they can be nasty. Tarpit them if at all possible, but if not, then smack them up with some magic. I had 20 dwarf warriors with a thane hold them up for 3 turns, and dude I was playing was super pissed( this was due to my ridiculouly lucky dice rolling, not to any particular skill at writing army lists).
Don't forget that the Lore of Light does an extra d6 damage to them. Also, the EOTG gets a bonus on the strength of the attack against undead.
