I'm looking for games in the Toronto area, but I'm not finding much. Is anyone here familiar with gaming in Toronto, Canada.

    Thanks,

Ya I have been to the games workshop's and the other retailers, but it seems like everyone is in to 40k. Fantasy just seems to not be that popular.

I have stumbled across a couple places that have some fantasy players, but there are tons of 40k players. I went a couple games workshops around me, and they all have fantasy nights. However, there are times that absolutly noo one shows up. 40k nights have like 20+ players steady.

I started playing fantasy in like 1998, and 40k was just starting to come along. At the time fantasy was much more popular in my area, now it's all 40k.

Do you guys think that fantasy is slowly coming to its end?

In my area, Fantasy is a lot more popular than 40k. I guess it really depends on the local scene. That being said, I think a lot of Fantasy players are older and play with friends/at home. I know I do but I still plan to head to the local store once I get to know some people over there.

GW might be one option, but have you tried your local gaming stores?

If they don't have a Fantasy group in the works, then they should be at least be able to point you in the right direction. I couldn't possibly think of Toronto having such a small WHFB crowd

Most 40K players are younger players as they like the big exploding things(I'm not saying everyone but the general 40K scene where I live this is the case) It takes ages to do it, but you should find at least some at the GW stores, especially in Toronto :/

You should post a flyer at the store with your email addy asking for fantasy players.

Talk to the older 40k players, probably there will be some that play fantasy also. If they carry the fantasy minis it must be for a reason...someone is buying them.

Be vocal, they are probably just hiding.
