I've recently picked up a Lizardmen army, included amongst the army is Lord Kroak. I've searched the forums here, and have not found much information on how best to use this great Slann. I'm assuming you would run him like you would most other Slann, but he only has one spell he can cast. The cost of the spell The Delivery of Itza is based on range, so what's the best way to get him mid-field and keep him un-engaged in combat. My last questions is in regards to the cost of Lord Kroak. I know he's expensive, but can he get close to his value back in points?

Most of the special characters are overpriced and not really worth taking, Kroak is no exception. I say just use him as a normal Slann and forget about the rules for Kroak, but you always have the option to give him a run on occasion just for fun.

in my opinion, Kroak can only be used in 3k + games when you have 2 lords. taking another slann + him is actually a pretty decent combination, and your dice pool is pretty gigantic when you have a couple skink priests as well. the other Slann does his regular magic stuff and Kroak runs up the middle of the board throwing deliverence of Itza on anything it can. but running him as your solo lord in 2k+ doesnt really get the job done. awesome model though!

I agree with thenorthwest and Strewart. He's over priced but an excellent combination with another Slann or other magic heavy armies (multiple EotG for example). In order to keep him from combat I would run him in a strong block of either 11 or 16 TG (depending on weather you want five or six wide). Then run some hardcore blocks of saurus warriors on your flanks followed by some skink skirmishers for charge redirect on the farthest flanks.
