Lizard Team hello, i am working on designing a multi level temple/pyramid. At this type the levels may not fit directly on top of each other as I started the multi idea after the first level was complete and the 2nd one started. I am thinking this will be 4 to 5 levels. the base level is 16 inches by 16 inches. What would you envision would be on each floor? Looking for your ideas, suggestions, and guidance? the first floor could be spawning areas or dungeon another floor a throne area maybe top floor a celestial or astronomy telescope what else?
Awesome start and great Idea!! The outside looks pretty real jungle-y. The throne room and astronomy room are pretty much near the top layers of the pyramid in my opinion. There could be some nursery rooms for cold ones or bastilodons I suppose. Some sort of armory would be nice as well. Are you planning on keeping internal walls separate? It might be interesting to keep the layout modular I will follow your progress with interest Grrr, !mrahil
Great ideas. Awesome start and great Idea!! The outside looks pretty real jungle-y. A) Thanks, the pieces was the first piece created and then I thought the idea of multi levels. B) after I received the first piece (the one with the rock boulder, I had the next part started, th e picture with the hole in the foam in bottom right. This piece will be the throne room and I believe the hardest one. If I have any internal walls, they will be non moveable at this time. The first floor can be the spawning pools. I need to figure how to create some. another floor armory and training maybe jail cells, detention area, treasure room agreed, next level throne room Top floor astronomy Good question on the walls. A) My first building will be multi floors and they won’t be connected or be able to place on top of each other.
First of all, I can´t wait to see results. Idea is great. I would maybe do astronomy room two or three floors from top and make hole in top floors to put telescope through them all. That might look great.
Also, if you have access to 3D printer, it might be nice to use couple of Lost Kingdom Ahuatli babies for breeding grounds.
So many pillars needed! Sorry, my brain fixates on the literal side of engineering when it comes to castles design of any kind, drives my wife nuts. Spawning pool in the "basement" for sure. Whatever floor has the main entrance to the outside should/could have a staging area for troops to march out into battle, and direct access to the stables for all the big dinos from that room as well. Barracks+armoury for all of the troops above that staging area if that floor is too full up. Could be fun to toss in a kitchen and let your imagination run wild as to what would be in it; at least one skink with a chef's hat! Above that could be a throne room/great hall. And any other quarters needed at that point could be shoehorned in. Having an observatory at the top just makes sense! Whatever you decide to do, I am excited to see your progress!!
I looked up "orrery stl" and got a few decent hits, some were even functional and free! One STL on myminifactory by darkest desire looked pretty decent, but both cost 9 bucks and looked like a pain to paint. You might be better off making a tiny telescope out of spare tubes and greenstuff; at least I didn't see any good files for a telescope. Painting a starmap on the floor of the "celestial" would look cool!
I would just carve/press it into the floor and paint the creases in gold You can use cups and jar lids to make nice clean circles.
Thanks but project just started. I am paying level by level and looks like now I need a 1) basement spawning area 2) combat training area and or feeding area(kitchen, skinks with chef hats) 3) Astro level(top level) I have 1st level done, aka ground level. That is the picture here and working on throne room. That will be 5 levels so far. I would like a 6th level but don’t think I can afford that. These will more than likely not stack on top of each other but rather laid out side by side on table to represent the levels. please keep your ideas coming, suggestions and etc as I can’t think of it all.
I have this coming in a week, the pieces in the right are 20 and 25mm, will use them as glyphs for the levels.
