Unfortunately, the only guy in my local club that plays DE, hates 8th edition and will not play it. He is also a 40k junkie.

7th edition reports are fine (if you would play it with him). Sorry to go off topic but why does he hate 8th?

Probably because it's new and different. I think his primary problem is the game changing magic.
