Most lists on here have Armour of Destiny for the 4+ ward save. Any benefit to taking Armour of Fortune for the 5+ ward save but pairing it with a Gold Sigil Sword or something? I had been taking the Stegadon Helm vs Tomb Kings. First game it was awesome. Got 3 charges off with my mounted Scar Vet + 5 COR. Wiped out a unit of Chariots, a Hierotitan and his Tomb Prince without taking a wound. Next game however, I went up against 4 necroknights. I was holding my own 1 v 4 (they slaughtered by COR) but finally he got the smiting spell through and I went down to a killing blow. Definitely want the ward save but thinking the initial might offset the 1 in 6 ward fail?
Generally a great weapon is seen as more effective since scar vets will be attacking last against anything that matters anyways. Strength 7 also makes it effective against armor, which is generally something most typical lizardmen lists struggle with.
If you put scar-vet on a cold one then Glittering Scales + Dawnstone is nice against S3 troops. /Sebbs
