    Hi there!

Some items, like hide of the cold ones and maiming shield entries describe the items as Heavy armour or shield. Does that mean that the Hide of the cold ones gives a 5+ save in adition to the magical effects? the me goes for the maiming shield and the stegadon war spear.

    Thanks!

Yup, they are magical versions of the standard armour/weapon and have extra goodness as described!

Correct, they count as the mundane version and have magical effects.. :D

This means maiming shield confers a 6+ armor shield, and can give +1 armor bonus for parry bonus..

The Stegadon-War Spear gives +2 Str on the Charge as a lance..

The Hide of the Cold Ones gives a 5+ armor save..

    Etc etc

    ;)

    That's great, thanks alot!
Wasn't too sure about it myself, but as the lance had the wording "lance, in addition..." so it had to mean that it worked as a lance in all respects.

    3+ since both improve by 2. 5+ + 2 (doesn't make sense, you know what I mean) gives 3+
