8th Ed. Magical Items, Hero Points, and BSB

    Hey,

    So I'm pretty new to Warhammer and have a few questions:

    I'm looking at this 25% rule for heroes, and I'm wondering what counts towards that 25%. Do magical items on a hero count towards that total? It seems like if this is the case, it would be really difficult to field a decent Slann in a 2k pt party.

    Also, are armies required to have a BSB? And do you have to pay 25 pts for the BSB+the cost of the banner itself?

    A slann is a lord not a hero, his points do not count towards the hero 25% cap, they count towards the 25% lord cap, at 2000 points you can have a maximum of 500 pts heroes and 500 pts of lords

    You can get a pretty tasty slann for 500 points
