magnetic stirrer for AP Paints?

Hi

I know normally a vortex mixer is the preferred method of shaking Army Painter colors. But this thing is loud and expansive.

Anyone ever tried a magnetic stirrer instead of the vortex mixer? Shouldn't that work to?
