Are Lord Mazdamundi and Lord Kroak worth it? They're both a crap ton of points, but at the same time are incredibly beastly. If they are, what lore would you run Mazdamundi with (dont need to ask for Kroak, you use him as is)?

Kroak is a complete waste of points in 8th edition. If he rolls an Irresistable Force spell, the spell fails to go off! They faq'd that when 8th edition first came out. He is worthless with that rule in place.

Mazdamundi is ok, but you can get a much better slann for less points. He can be fun to play though. I once had a game where Zlaaq was killed and Mazdamundi would not die against some HE swordmasters. I made every save that I attempted with him. It was quite funny.

I once used Lord Kroak waaaaay back in the first Lizardmen army book. He's remained my favorite Lizardmen character since. I just love his storyline and his awesome holy-undead thing goin on. But I've never used him in our current book, because yeah... he's a butt load of points. In fact, I can't really find anyone who has used him yet. Maybe I will use him someday in a friendly game just for kicks.

As for Mazda... he's just kinda meh to me. I'd rather keep my crazy wizard-toad safe from war machine fire rather than stick him right on top of a cannon magnet.

Love the fluff on both, hate the build on both and despise the cost. Kroak is at least 100 points too much and MM has such a bad set of disciplines and items that it undermines what initially appears to be a fair price, counting the ancient steggie.

MM has found a use in SoM providing you only use fulcrums he can fit on.
