So with the latest FAQ, you can use the general's leadership for your strength on a unit that has Mindrazor cast on it. This means everything can be strength 10 if the Slann has the Standard of Discipline. Now even skink hordes can be made strength 10 with a single cast of the spell (too bad it doesn't upgrade their javelins).

Too bad we lost the ability to get Loremaster of Shadow... but hey, if you're running High Magic you can always roll for Mindrazor when you drop High Magic spells!

What would be your favorite unit to mindrazor? How about a unit of ripperdactyls swooping in on their target unit, with those rerolls to hit? Saurus Cav at 4 attacks per model would be nasty as well.

As George Takei would say "Ohhhh Myyyy!"

Time to revise the Shadow Tactica....

Shadow was one of my favorite lores before the new book. Now I think it's reached near parity with High Magic.

That just seems stupid imo. As in really freaking awesomely stupid. There is a reason that Mindrazor already is nerfed in almost all tournaments (atleast those I attend/know of here in Denmark). Lots of places it is capped at 6 strenght or something.

I think Mindrazor has enough trouble getting successfully cast that nerfing should be unneccessary. I mean, it's not like it's a free S10 action with a nearly 100% chance of hitting a target from across the table or anything....

Matters if casting on Skinks but not really for saurus. Str 8 is generally more than enough.

Str 10 Poison skinks sounds hillarious though! That is if you are not on the receiving end :p

True, although strength 10 completely eliminates armor saves and also wounds those sphinxes on a 2+.

I thought the Standard of Discipline specifically says you can't use the General's Inspiring Presence special rule? Therefore the skinks would still only have Ld 5 right? I keep getting confused reading about the Ld 10 Slann. Seems like the Inspiring Presence is what keeps all of our skinks from running off the table isn't it? I know that I am new to WHFB so am I missing something?

Lizardmen are the exception to the rule. A unit with Standard of Discipline can't use the general's Inspiring Presence, but the Slann still bestows his Ld on the unit he is with because characters always bestow their Ld on the unit. The Standard of Discipline doesn't stop a Slann from broadcasting an Inspiring Presence, it only stops them from receiving an Inspiring Presence.

Thanks for the clarification, I was reading it that the Slann couldn't project the Inspiring Presence if he had the Standard.
