8th Ed. Monster Mash - 2k - Triumph & Treachery

    Based on a recent spree of successes with my ancient stegadon playing triumph and treachery, I've written the following list trying to maximise on our giant monsters without feeling too cheesy;

    *****
    Lord - Slann, ethereal, loremaster (high), BSB

    Hero - Scar Vet, carnosaur, armour of 5+ ward, great weapon

    Core - 10 skirmishers, blowpipes
    Core - 10 skirmishers, blowpipes
    Core - 30 Saurus, full command

    Special - Stegadon
    Special - 3 Ripperdactyls (because I found my old terrdon models! :) )
    Special - 5 Chameleons

    Rare - Ancient Stegadon, sharpened horns
    Rare - Salamander, snack
    *****

    I've had to trim things down in order to fit in 2 stegs, a carny and a solo slann, but so far I like the look of it. Big monsters do so well in T&T and my regular opponents are WE, HE and vampires - so minimal war machines! I would have liked to up my scar vet to a 4++, add another chameleon and squeeze in a second salamander but I don't know what to remove. Equally, I'd like sharpened horns on the baby steg and I just know I'm gunna miss having a dispel scroll.

    Any thoughts/suggestions? Should I drop a unit to beef the others up a bit? The ripperdactyls were a last minute addition - are they any good?
