    Hi Guys!!!!

I thought that it would be cool to have a thread were you could tell everyone about your most amazing model or unit and their incredible deeds in battle, whether the result of brilliant Generalship or incredible Luck so go on give us some of your amazing tales about your models!!!!

For me the most amazing model would either be my Skink Priest or Scar-Veteran.

The Scar-Veteran defeated Sigvald the Magnificent in a challenge without taking any wounds at all!!!

The Priest on the other hand was a little more impressive. It was one of the big battles that I often play, Me and an Empire player versus his brother with Orcs & Goblins and a Chaos player. I had cast Comet of Cassandora early in the game on the very centre of the board, it managed too charge up for THREE turns.

When it hit the Chaos player sought refuge in his Cupboard come Nuclear Bunker and every one started screaming and laughing manically (I think it's the most I have ever laughed over a Warhammer game). Suffice to say, when the comet hit the battlefield it wasn't pretty, the kill tally ran something like this:

    8 Marauders of Chaos
    8 Night goblins
    1 Lord Level Chaos Sorcerer
    1 Hero Level Chaos Sorcerer
    1 Here Level Orc Shaman
    4 Khorne Chaos Warriors
    1 Nurgle Knight
    4 Temple Guard
1 Flaggelent (who had been holding up the enemy army for sometime)
    3 Night Goblin Fanatics
1 Night Goblin Boss on Giant Cave Squig

So this one little Skink Priest wiped out almost half of the enemy army on his own (as lots of the units hit proceeded to run for the hills) and our opponents surrendered on the spot.

So I hope this has inspired you to share some of your own tales of pure carnage and heroics.

    Cheers, Bez

That reminds me of a small game (<500, were I had against an empire player. He had a Helblaster, a captain and a large infantry block with detachments. I had a skink priest, a unit of skink skirmishers and unit of 16 saurus.

The Helblaster killed the skirmishers, but then exploded. The saurus and empire infantry marched at each other and fought head on (with detachment flanking). I was losing combat by 1-2 each turn but holding. My skink priest cast comet of cassandora on the combat. After a string of 1-3s the comet finally came down several turns later, with only 1 Saurus (bravely passing his leadership test to hold), a 2 units of 5-6 humans and the priest still on the board.

The comet rolled a 6 for distance, with 5-6 counters to multiply. The blast was so large that the priest (who had run into the corner of the battlefield in case of this eventuality) and everything else on the board got wiped out.

Imagining the looks on all the combatants faces while they are thinking; "well why did we bother fighting 6+ turns of combat when we were onlt going to be blasted by a comet larger then the board ANYWAY!" was quite amusing.

I was playing a 500 pt. match against my brother, who had never played before, and I let him use Lizards while I used my TK. He chose to bring Oxyotl, 10 saurus, 10 Skink Cohorts, 15 skirmishers, and a salamander, while I had a Tomb Prince, Liche Priest, 2 units of 10 Skeletons, and a Tomb Scorpion.

1st Turn, (this is the heroic part) he goes first and Oxyotl kills the Liche Priest (heirophant)!!!

I killed the salamander and some skinks, but the Tomb Prince died by the Saurus and the rest of the army was shot and crumbled to death. He destroyed me!

    I pleaded beginners luck.

    Second example:

Well, this isn't a Lizardmen hero, but it's still pretty good:

I was playing 2000 pt. TK versus my friend's O&G and i had tooled up my Tomb King as a real assassin with an item that gave him flight, so he got into CC with the Orc Lord Gorbad Ironclaw on like the second turn. They fought in a challenge for a really long time but eventually he killed my Tomb King and he had 1 or 2 wounds left. It seemed like my strategy hadn't worked, and now he had killed my general, until he rolled for the TK curse. The model who kills a Tomb King must pass a Ld test or take D6 automatic wounds no saves allowed. Gorbad has Ld 10, so he rolled the die pretty nonchalantly... and up came an 11!
He rolled I believe a 5 for wounds and that was that. Both our Generals had died BUT his was worth way more VP (being a special character)
I went on to win that battle without major losses.

I'd like to contribut this to my skinks.......................
It was looking bad for me, it was a 2 vs 2 game, and my ally had been whiped out along with the tomb kings, all I had left was a single unit of skirmishers, which had 2 fight a chieftain, 20 clanrats, and a warlock engineer...

They charged into the warlock, who fled but not far enough as they caught him and diced him up....
The chieftain had left his unit and headed towards the skinks, on the skaven's turn he charged.....
and was dropped in the stand and shoot when I rolled 4 6's

Then I continued shooting away at the clanrats, until there was only 10 left and he charged me!!!!!

The skinks fought to the last man, killing all but 3 clanrats before the last 1 died....and the game ended in a tie
