    Blowpipe

    Casting Pool: 8

    Dispel Pool: 6

    Models in Army: 79

    Total Army Cost: 2248

Basically, I have 2 fear-causing scar-vets with ungodly armour save and 6 attacks each, one with my saurus (HW & shield - the vet does the killin', they do the CR) and the other with the TG. The two engines give me the necessary wards vs shooting (almost everybody uses gunlines around these parts :( ) and a solid magic defense (and a couple of monsters too :D ). I absolutely LOVE the new salamanders, they eat infantry blocks like there's no tomorrow. As for skink+krox units... well, they suck real bad. Anyways, this list is tested, and passed with flying colours.

    Cheers!

Looks like a solid list, I would probably take away 1 TG and give the Saurus Warriors spears, to get the second rank in on the action. And if needed they can always go back to 1hw and shield.

Or even swap the TG unit for another block of SW with spears, and then you have another 100 or so points to play with. Just not sure the TG are worth it in this case as the rest of your army is relatively mobile.

Overall ooks like a build I may have to try out :)

Do you really need 3 Dispel Scrolls ? Keeping 1 is good, but with the lvl2 Priest + EOTG and Diadem you got ALOT of dispel dice already. Do you need all those points on magic defence ?

Spear saurus were the first thing in the new book that I tried. Not impressed. As for the 3 scrolls, sadly, nowadays that is the MINIMUN of any competitive build (if you play against daemons or undead you know what I mean). As for more saurus, well, saurus are expensive points wise, and since over half the people I play against use gunlines :( , the two EotG are an absolute necessity. This was the best compromise I could find between fun (the way I like to play) and competitive, and it worked well so far.

    Cheers!
