    Great paimting, honestly, and I adore the base!

    However the shield ruins it for me, Looks so defensive and, well, in the way. His pose on the griffon just looks unatural, unless you modeled him being shot with arrows (see 6th ed high elf book to see what I'm on about)

    awesome paint job. my only suggestion would be to use a wash to bring out more depth in the model such as the general's face

    He is holding up the reins in his shield arm, there are other photos in the link at the top that show off the reins and such.

    Cool, it is difficult to get a nice looking pose on that model but I think from a different angle it would look a lot more natural. And yes, great paint work!

    That's a great conversion. I particularly love the base, and the detail of the scales on the griffons arms! Good work!

    They are plaster made form Hirst Art Molds I think. I actually got them at a convention.
