Totally take on board about the camos. Will have to go with these initially but I do think that the camos are a good chance for conversions.
Think that I will be making a second unit with a lot more character to it, and importantly more colour!
Think maybe some much better bases too to give them a more "in the trees" look.

Your army looks great! I really like the look you got going on with them. On the Saurus hero, if you use Lore of Light with your Slann and you use him you might want to change his kit to AHW and throw on Venom of the Firefly Frog. Something you could do to maybe make him rank up better is bit him on a Cavalry base and then say he has something like a "counts as riding a cold one" rules wise, which is a smart thing to do to improve your armour save especially since you don't have a shield with Fencer's blades.

Great job on the colour scheme, it really works! Also, I like how you used the inverted colours for Skinks. How did you paint your yellow? I tried painting my Cold One in yellow and dark grey, and really struggled with the yellow (you can see the result here: http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/caprasauridaes-lizardmen-finished-woogitoxigor.9002/), so any tips you want to share will be appreciated.

And I agree with Lord Tsunami, that Lord is truly bad-ass! The blades look wicked, like they would easily sever limbs and heads. Maybe not the effect Fencer's Blades give, but who cares.

Well one week to go to finish the army and on to the two ancient stegadons
The colours are to keep in sync with the green and blue on the baby stegs just with them darker and older.
First one done:

I have darkened them a little with a wash (which to be honest doesnt really show in this pic).


Think the blues link well but the green is too bright still?
Hope to get a picture of the whole finished army before next week and then after the event I am aiming for can start to really improve each of the units/re do chameleons/add shields.
Not sure at all what colour to have the saurus and skink shields. I am thinking the blue to tie them in with the stegadons?

if i were you i would take the stegaon by the horns (lol) and just redo the old green on the old stegadons in the more natural tone of the new ones. it is a pain but imo it will be worth it.

First finished ancient stegadon.
I have made it usable as the engine of the gods or a mount for the skink chief/bsb.
The blowpipes are magnatised so they can be removed for the engine.
Both the skink priest and the skink bsb have their own bases if...and when the mount dies!

Also wanted to try something else with a couple to give the unit some variety.

I like the alternative slann. What model did you use for him? That also makes me think that it would cool to have a saurus caster. A named character or something that would have higher stats than a normal caster. Mabye resticted to lore of metal or lore of fire.

Hes another OOP reaper lord same as the old blood, found him on ebay. Only slightly annoying thing is they have nothing I can see for a BSB.
Have some nice alts for Krox mind..
Also seen a few more ranges that offer some nice alt casters..
He just gives the army a bit of a different look I guess and I intend to add a few more reaper models to complete the army.
