    Greetings from Toronto, Canada!

After years of retirement, I've decided to make my triumphant return to the world of Warhammer. I'm dusting off my old 6th edition models (quite literally for some) so that they may spill blood in the name of Sotek once again! Unfortunately, I've found that my tactics and army lists are quite dated. I consulted the google, and the google brought me here.

I thought it would be nice to introduce myself before I beg for help with creating a competitive army list soooooooooooo I guess I'll be seeing you in the army list pages.

    Cheers!

Welcome to the forums. You want to switch from 6th edition Tactics to 8th edition Tactics? Tactics is one of my all time favorite thing and I started eighth after leaving the hobby during 6th edition myself.

Major differences between 6th and 8th

    -Premeasuring is now possible
-Magic is more powerful but less reliable.
-The current rules set slightly favors blocks of infantry over other types of troop.

Fortunately our new book is fairly balanced. While some units are better than others, we don't suffer from the limitation of only having one competitive build at this time.

The Tactics Index (linked in my signature) should help you browse topic by topic. I suggest you look at the top three links first, then go wherever you interest takes you.

We got more than Tactics here. The painting forum is a good place where all levels of ability are welcome. There are lots of pictures for inspiration as well as helpful advice for beginners starting out and advanced painters striving for perfection. Even dusty 6th ed models can be showcased. We are currently gearing up the painting forum for a small contest soon, this will be a test run for a larger contest later.

If you like fluff pieces, we got that. Our fluff forum has both well-written stories and amusing comics and memes.

You should consider getting a custom avatar. There is a link to N810's avatar workshop near the bottom of the Tactica Index. He can design an avatar for your or simply format a picture you already found.

We look forward to seeing you around the forum.
