Ok guys we started in Feb and this is my sons first go on a high elf, I've sat with him all week and painted along side him this model is all his work apart from the eyes and teeth and a bit of touching up but not much, all done with a wash then drybrushed. This is the one I painted, Best bit was letting him flick the red paint all over the models at the end.
You said he's eight years old? That looks about what I could do at thirteen or fourteen (though admittedly I am not one of the legendary painters of this forum.)
Not bad, Not bad at all. my 4 year old daughter is off course the best painter in the world (totally "unbiased" father's opinion), but that sure is a decent ogre, and there are probably many much older or adult painters who would not be ashamed of this one.
When he put the blood on the models he said "dad they look sick" I thought what's he on about and replied "they don't look too pale", then he looked at me like I was from another planet.
Shhh! The little fellow is only 8 years old. If he finds out where he REALLY came from he might be traumatized.
