So anyone who checks out my blog from time to time knows I just completed my Legendary Lord collection the other day: Only to find out the collection is now no longer complete! Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas for kitbashing or proxy models non-GW companies to make a best attempt at recreating this Nakai?
Maybe Mierce Miniatures ... their Krokodars come close to the screenshot. I admit it is quite a lot of work to make them look Seraphon-like. Here's a link with all of them:: https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=sea&cat=sea&sea=krokodar
https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_kth_kro_mbs_202_000 I'm thinking this guy but gonna have to swap his weapon and give him some jewellery. Not sure where to get those.
Well if anyone would be willing to sell one of their Woogity Kroxigor then I would say that would be ideal, but otherwise I'd say this guy might be a good bet: https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_kth_kro_min_106_000
Woogity's Kroxigors aren't all that similar to Total War Kroxigors. Even though he also made those ones.
I guess it's just a matter of taste. Me, i think the more crocodile look sets them apart and gives them their own identity. In particular Nakai himself looks incredible.
With a bit of green stuff I think this guy would be your best bet; provided the model is as big as it looks
I Ordered one of these and loads of other models Of a website that had a Kickstarter going, and they are going to arrive around December. I think this would fit Nakai Great. I bought one of these and several kroxigors for my army. - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lastsword/the-jungles-awakening/description, https://pledgemanager.es/producto/sample-product/nazka-y-ancients-rage.
As I'm also doing Nakai for my Lizardmen. After all, he is holding a flipping Rat ogre, can't get much cooler than that.
Did you manage to get a kitbashed Nakai done? Also, were you thinking of adding Gor-rok to the list? And now they’ve added Oxyotl…
I'm late to the party, but have you considered One Page Rule Miniature Krox? https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-gators-152078 What I would recommend, is printing one of them, but then printing the head much larger, and merging it into the body. It'd take a lot of work, but I think you'd get a really good totalwar krox as a result.
