okay I am painting my chameleon skinks adeptus grey and their backscales knarloc green.

for the first one I am painting I ended up painting the frog hat on his head macharian solar orange to be a nice stark contrast.

but it looks so flat,, what would you recommend as a wash and or drybrush?

Nice base. How did you attache the chameleon to the base (sorry to go off topic)?

As far as the wash and drybrush...I would drybrush either a much lighter or much darker color over it before using a wash on it. The wash that I usually use is Bhaal red. Since the hat is orange, I think the red would look really good on it.

simple It isn't fully flocked just glued him to that part of the base then I'll flock the rest.

I ended up adding a yellow streak down teh middle and yellow dots on the bumps

I am tempted to see what happens if I mix washes together try and make an organe wash out of thraka and baal and a yewllow wash out of thraka and asuramen

If you don't mind spending a little extra time, you can always wash it with red first, let it dry, then wash it with gryph sepia. go back over it with the orange (careful not to get it in the recesses), then make a 1:1 mix with the base orange and either a light orange or a yellow, and then finally highlight with whatever lighter color you mixed with the base orange. That should give it some depth and a bit more color. In fact, you could do that for the entire model pretty easily, but again, only if you are wanting to spend a little extra time to do all that.
