ok, so i've been getting torn up by all sorts of heavy cavalry (bretonnians and empire knights, both regular and questing knight equivalents). my saurus get mauled down. he took a runefang and killed my oldblood before he could raise a finger. also the runefang killed my stegadon. all that it seems to take is just one unit of knights to tear my armies apart. i really need help on how to stop these guys. the points level i play is 1000 points, so i cant take a slann.
Salamanders might help out. I probably wouldn't take an oldblood at such a low point level, take a scar vet and then just bulk out your army. I'll probably go with a skink priest in my 1000 point lists, just to make use of the 2d6 power dice I'm generating anyway.
My friend who plays bretonnians is proxying 2 trebuchets, so i figure he wont mind if i proxy a salamander or 2. i notice that in 2 of the last 3 games i've played my skink priest has miscast several times each game, so maybe a cupped hands of the old ones would be a smart idea (i know its best for the slann, but i just figure i can use my bad luck to my advantage)?? but thank you
