I have only ever played som with dwarves, so im not sure of the rules applied for lizardmen. If i put a slaan in the fulcrom can i take temple guard without slaan. Also looking for some tips on building a list .

The carnosaur solo is a fantastic use of points. The d3 wounds and S7 are great vs the monsters you'll face.

Dragons seem nice but unless your going for the big dragons don't bother them, I felt the cheapest dragon barely contributed.

You can make some great Scarvet cowboy builds for assaulting fulcrums, coldone, extra hand weapon, frog poison or something magical in case of etheral wizards, the shard that makes them reroll ward saves.

I don't know if the slann/TG rule can be overridden since army book rule. So I'd run without TG.

Normally you wouldn't consider fire on a slann but massive fireballs and the cataclsysm fireball is great for taking out opposing wizards on fulcrums. (Haven't tried this one, just a thought)

Anyways good luck. and let us know how you do

I'd want to keep my Slann off the fulcrum anyway. You don't need the Slann to be on a fulcrum for the Slann cast cataclysm spells, you only need your side to control fulcrums. That will make it harder to lose a Slann to a freak miscast.

I've only played on Storm of Magic. I did okay with having a bunkered Slann in a Temple Guard unit while using several skink priests to occupy fulcrums. The skink priests can't really defend themselves, but they are cheap enough that you can take spares and if you keep a heavy offense (with a Slann and Temple Guard), they won't be able to attack your priests.

I'd see if your opponents can expand up to 3k, SoM doesn't really work below that threshold (not enough % for monsters n gear).

Priests are terrible, they'll get murdered or magic duelled off very easily. You need beefier wizards up there, and they need to be fighty as well (as if they can't duel you off, they'll try and assault you off)

    At 2.5k, your options are limited by %, but I'd try this;

    Lords:

    Shadow Slann w/Cupped Hands

    Light Slann, BSB and General

    Core:

    (2) Standard Bearer, Musician, 18 x Saurus w/hand weapon+shield

    (2) 11 x Skinks

    Special:

Standard Bearer, Musician, 34 x Temple Guard

Standard Bearer, Musician, 34 x Temple Guard

    Monsters n Magic:

    Level 4 Zoat

    Level 4 Zoat

That gives you four Level 4 casters, two of which are going to camp your fulcrums for you and buff your troops. Between the two Zoat's, you'll get every spell from Life plus two castings of the signature spell, which will help those giant TG blocks stay alive (and block charge lanes to the fulcrum).
