hi guys i am new to posting anything on a forum so sorry if i mess this up. i am trying to get ready for a 1600pts tournement and i have no clue what would work for an army every army draft i have come up with just do not sound like it would survive in a fight plz help.
Ok, how about posting some of the ideas that you have had so far. We can then see what you have to build on. Listing any models you already have or plan to get would help too.
ok thx sorry for not doing that b to begin with i am not sure of an idea for the army but here is what i have to build with. 1x slann 1x SOB on carnasuar 6x skink preists 2x saurus characters 4x skink cheifs 1x engine of the gods 1x saurus on cold one 4x terradons 22x cold one riders 4x kroxigors 6x swarms 3x razordons 3x salamanders 48x saurus warriors 20x temple guard 12x skinks w/ blowpipes 21x skinks w/ javelins and shields 9x chamo skinks plz help it has been awhile this will be my first fight in the new edition
a friend came up with this list hoe does it sound for a 1600pt tourny old blood w/ armour of destiny, enchanted shield, burning blade of chotec, luck stone = 225pts lvl 2 skink priest w/ engine of the gods = 390pts 19x saurus warriors w/ full command =239pts 20x saurus warriors w/ full command =250pts 4x kroxigors= 220pts ancient stegadon=275pts total of army= 1599pts please give opinions on list or things that might help make it batter thank u
Here is a sample list I came up with: Slann Mage Priest BSB (banner of discipline) Forbidden rod (adds d6 to magic phase-one use, slann would take d3 wounds) Lore of life (every successful spell will heal 1 wound from a multi wound model within 12 inches-takes care of the wounds from the forbidden rod) Focus of mystery (all spells) Focused rumination (extra power die to each spell) Skink preist lvl 2 cube of darkness (dispel scroll that on a 4+ ends all remains in play and the magic phase_ skink priest lvl 2 dispel scroll ruby ring of ruin (just in case you run into something with regen-i.e. abomination, trolls) Saurus warriors 28 with full command Skink skirmishers x 10 with javelin and shield (I prefer javelin and shield to blow pipe-can always stand and shoot) Temple guard x 13 (slann goes here) War banner (+1 to combat rez) chameleons skinks x 5 Salamander x 1 with extra snack Salamander x 1 with extra snack I think this is a pretty balanced list. Lore of life makes the TG and saurus very formidable. You have excellent buffing ability as well as descent magic defense with 2 scrolls.
played that list agents my friend. unfortunately he brought dwarfs and i got smoked have to play agents some others =/
The list probably has too much tied up in magic and magic prevention. The slann is fine, but even at 2000 I would probably only be thinking of one skink scroll caddy and almost certainly only at level 1. At 1600 I would probably just go with the slann.
