Need some help getting back into the game

Hi guys,

I finally found some time to get back into gaming. I haven't really played all that much before and since a lot has changed I'm about as new to Seraphon as a beginner.

I currently have a small army consisting of a bit of everything:
1x oldblood on carnosaur
1x troglodon
10x saurus warriors
5x saurus knights
1x astrolyth bearer
1x oldblood on foot
1x sunblood
1x scarvet on cold one
1x skink starpriest
24x skinks
5x chameleons
3x terradon riders

I want to start by building my army up to 2000pts but I'm not sure about what to get next. Any suggestions about how to continue from here are very welcome.

I'm thinking about using a shadowstrike starhost, but i'm not sure about what to add to it

For a Shadowstrike you have a priest, 2 units of skinks in any combination and a unit of Rippers or Terrodons

So for 2000 pts you want to max out the batallion so more models benefit from it.

Things to add in,

Slann
Astrolith Bearer
Basilidon

Slann and AB are auto include in almost every list, if you like Shadowstrike you want more skinks and rippers/terrodons to max out the units.

An example of a 2000pts list would be,

@Crowsfoot is totally right. You NEED a Slann. And a bastiladon would be pretty effective.

Yeah I've been looking into it a bit already and a slann seems like a must have. I decided I want to make a skink/dinosaur army (so not using the saurus). But I guess i'll have to play a bit again first before diciding what to buy
