I found some Lizardmen models I bought a long while back, looked at the book, and decided to bulid my army. I own: -A character with shied and weapon(non-GW, it came with the rest) -21 Saurus Warriors with full command -3 Kroxigors I was wanting to go combat heavy, and this list was made from advice: **List Editted 2/3/11** Heroes- 259 Scar-Veteran- 93 ~Light Armor ~Shield **What items would be good? Also, would I be better off with two Priests? BSB- 166 ~Armor of Destiny ~Great Weapon ………………………………………………………………………………………………. Core- 903 Saurus(19)- 239 ~Full Command Saurus(19)- 239 ~Full Command Skinks- 285 ~Standard Bearer ~Musician ~24 Skinks ~3 Kroxigors **Will Probably go 6x5, good idea? Skink Skirmishers(10)- 70 **Guard a flank Skink Skirmishers(10)- 70 **Guard a flank ………………………………………………………………………………………………. Special- 72 Chameleon Skinks(6)- 72 ………………………………………………………………………………………………. Rare- 150 Salamander- 75 Salamander- 75 ………………………………………………………………………………………………. Total- 1384 116 points left, any thoughts?
No don't take saurus in a horde unit. The reason is they are so wide that very very few opponents you face will actually have a unit wide enough for all your saurus to get into contact. Large units are fine, but 6 wide is about the most you want, so low 30's is a very large unit and not all that common. Especially at 1500 points, you are much better off splitting them into 2 units of 20. The rest of the list looks ok, cold ones are a bit hit or miss though. They probably either need a full command to make them a really solid unit, or drop them to 5 models to make them a medium flanking unit. Or get rid of them for something better.
I removed the Cavalry to add another block of Saurus and a BSB. What equipment should my Scar-Veteran have and would I be better off with a pair of Skink Priests? Also, how do I delete a post?
You can't delete posts, only mods/admins can. That list looks pretty decent now. Whether you take magic or combat characters is entirely up to you. Magic is quite powerful, and two priests would give you a good amount of heavens spells, but the scar vets will provide good leadership and boost those saurus units. Depends on what you prefer in your army.
cold ones are extremely good against units with a low initiative especially when they have the jaguar standard (pursues +1 d6) the idea is to get the enemy to flee, and when u pursue most of the time u will catch them up and there unit goes bye bye
