Hey guys, read a post the other week about using the signature spells discipline with the book of Asher and it got me thinking. Looking closer and reading through all of the spells it looks like there's a lot of good combinations to use. I usually use lore of life but got a bit bored so wanted to try something different. The list will revolve around keeping them far away to start with and 2 dice every spell to hopefully with good winds get off a lot of offensive magic before they get to me. Then when they get close use the good combos such as the miasma with blizzard to hopefully get people hitting me on 6's. Planning on getting the rippers in the flank or rear with a wyssans to hopefully do a lot of damage. Would love to know what people think, cheers Characters Zlatadoti, slann Mage priest Reservoir of eldritch energy The wandering deliberations Battle standard bearer The book of ashur Ironcurse icon Tok-rah skink priest Level 2 Dispel scroll Lore of heavens Gra-ruul scar veteran Light armour Shield Sacred stegadon helm of itza Potion of speed Warrior bane Ra-kaka skink chief Light armour Shield Dragonhelm Egg of quango Terradon Core 24 saurus warriors Spawn leader Standard bearer Musician Spears 24 skinks Brave Musician Standard bearer 3 kroxigor 10 skink skirmishers Blowpipes Special 20 temple guard Revered guardian Musician Standard bearer 5 ripperdactyl riders Brave Would love to hear your comments and any improvements to the list. Cheers guys
Javs on the Skirmishers maybe? And instead of the 24 Skinks, musician and brave you could basically have 3 more Kroxigor. 2 Units of 3 Rippers instead of one big one? Double the toads markers. I'd say this list is overly character heavy in general.. also is Warrior Bane still in the game? I didn't think it was.
Cool sounds good. I basically have the scar vet as a challenge monkey in the temple guard and the chief to hunt things and the priest is a scroll caddy but was considering dropping him and maybe having the extra ripper and split them in 2. Not sure about warrior bane I just saw it in the book to do wounds and get there attacks down. Out of interest why would you drop the blowpipes for javelins, Any reason? I also thought that if I put 6 Krox on the board people would just shoot them down. Cheers
Don't see Warrior Bane in the 8th Ed book - maybe I'm being blind. Blowpipes multi-shot hits on a 7 after moving and range penalties which means no poison. Javs hit on a 6 and give quick to fire, +1AS and a 6+ parry save. 3 Krox and 2 Sallies then?
Ah right I didn't realise if you hit on 7's you don't get the poison. I'm sure it's the 5 point sword I'll have to have a look haha. Never used salamanders before I might try them out. Thanks anyway
