And it clears up next to nothing whoohoo! I shall read the updated BRB FAQ to see if M&H got any fixes. The only real change to our FAQ is a longer answer to the Tranformation of Kodan spell. Minor clarification on M&H vs template attacks (you get to roll to see if the handles take the hit, but they still cant get targeted by the initial blast)
Actually it clears up one of the major questions of is the Slann on foot or not. He is not on foot so people can stop being stupid about that finally. What were you looking for to be cleared up?
Its more about general rules than liz specific. Warseer has a decent thread going about a FAQ wishlist. There are too many random things for me to remember at the moment
Slann w/ magical carpet wasnt stupid. There was nothing that forbid him taking the carpet. Hopefully GW FAQ's Stank, there seems to be a huge misprint in Empires FAQ :T10
ok now that slann cant take carpet and cant transform into dragon, i will refuse to e transformed into a frog by that scroll, becouse slann is a frog after all.
got rid of that stupid question of whether 2d6(or any random) attacks can go over 10, and yes, of course it freaking can. tbh i dont mind not being able to use the flying carpet, but i would like him to be immune to challenges again!
Im certainly going to be re-reading the BRB and Army book to see if any benefits can be gained or any disadvantages incurred from not being 'on foot'.
nah, i'm pretty sure there's no advantage to being infantry not on foot, as you're still infantry nonetheless. shame really.
There may be a hidden benefit to the Slann not being on foot. I do not have my BRB, but if he is not on foot then he must be floating or flying. IF he is floating or flying certain spells or abilities will have no impact against him. For example, Lord Mazmundi destruction of cities would have no impact as he is on on the ground. Can anyone check this as I am at work.
The problem is, if he's floating he can't march. That may or may not mess up the Temple Guard being able to march along with him.
His base movement is 10 inches. Because he is with a unit with a movement of 4 inches, he can march with them because it is within his base movement.
Which makes sense; unfortunately that has little to do with how a lot of people interpret the rules. I've heard it argued that that because the unit as a whole must declare it is marching, if one model can't then none can. It's another issue that needs clearing up to avoid lawyering at tournaments.
erm, am i missing something here? nowhere i've seen states that he has hover...? thus he uses his normal movement, and can keep up with his TG?
The debate was over whether or not Hover is something beneficial that could be added to the Slann's rules, as it would also explain why he is considered to be 'not on foot'. Sorry if that got confusing.
