Hello eveyone, my name is Ricky. I have been playing and paintin lizardmen for about 3 years and I love em. I am of mesoamerican descent so lizardmen really tap into some of my ancestry that makes them all the more fascinating to me. :smug:

Greetings, welcome to the board! Do you find it strange that they are depicted as walking lizards? (Tongue in cheek)

Post some pics of your lizards, always good to see new work. :)

I think the term "cold blooded" rings true with how my people were culturally. Not as in remorseless savages, but literally how the lizardmen (mesoamerican) view the world through alien eyes. They viewed the world differently and were, unfortunately, mostly eradicated. It is good to see that our culture kicks but in the fantasy world of warhammer. DAMN THE SPANISH :walkingdead:

Yeah they were quite alien compared to the rest of the world at the time, and even compared to the other... how would you say it, non-European indigeonus people. That is a pretty good statement, cold but not savage. They sacrificed people, but because of their beliefs. A pretty cool culture.

I would like to see the America's if they Europeans hadn't come until much later, imagine the architecture. Instead of gothic, and roman influences, we would have ziggurats and temple- bastions. Quite intriguing to think about. I would trade syphillus and alchohol that the catholics brought for mass sacrifices and bloodletting ANY day! Worship mighty Kulkukan! If you are wondering, I am Toltec, closely and related to Aztecs in culture, the Toltec displaced the Maya so many influences of Maya and Aztec found its way into Toltec.

Hmm... if the Spanish hadn't arrived...

    I can see it now:

"Hey dad, can I go to the sacrifice this weekend? I promise I'll be back before bedtime!"

"No way, I know about you smoking jungle lotus in your bedroom! You're still grounded!"

"But everyone else is going to be there!"

"Well, maybe if you get your homework done first I'll talk it over with your mother."

Haha, therein, Human Jawbones and jade jewelry would be all that rage. I woulndt mind running around in a banana hammock with the skulls and bone armour made from my enemies adorning me. I think that falls into the criteria "You know you're badass when...,"
