Hello there,

I'm new to the whole warhammer thing. A few years ago, I painted some lord of the rings tabletop figures which I got through a magazine. I collected roughly 100 miniatures, but due to the lack of fellow players in the small German town I lived in back in those days, I stopped buying the magazine and collecting the miniatures. This must have been over ten years ago.

Now I live in a much bigger town, with a games worshop store and multiple other stores where gamers meet. And age of sigmar refreshed my interest in tabletop gaming. I always shied away from fantasy because of the mass of miniatures, one would presumably need. I also convinced two friends to start collecting. Because I love dinosaurs and also mesoamerican art, my choice for the lizardmen (I hate ne name seraphon) was predetermined.

Right now, I bought and assembled a starter set.
I also converted a little bit and got a skink priest, an Astrolith Bearer, a scar veteran on cold-one and a footed oldblood. Pictures below

Right now, I am looking forward to paint my minis and finally play the game. I think the first games should be on skirmish format, because neither my friends nor me have 1000 point armies. Or what do you guys suggest?

In this forum, I seek out Tips and feedback on painting, strategic advice and discussion and also some fluff on my seraphon.

Welcome!
Cool conversions, I especially like the Astrolith Bearer.

Welcome aboard, your off to a good start now make that start count, start a painting blog so we can see your progress and you will get tips and encouragement for free. :)

Echoing the previous comments, I like the standard bearer! Great conversion, looking forward to see how you paint it!

Thank you all for the kind words and the encouragement.
I will start a painting blog, as soon as I got some painting done. But I want the blog to serve mainly as tips- and help-collecting-device.

I am very happy with how the conversions worked out. I had no experience prior and was surprised by how easy it was.
But my painting skills were very subpar. At least they were last time I painted some minis somewhat over 10 years ago.

Guten Tag. Welcome to the forums!

We got great resources for game play, fluff, and painting.

Like everyone else said, nice conversions.
