New Lizardman

It's a shame I really like the Sotec Model better. :meh:

Greetings Leander. Do you have a painting blog set up yet? I am happy to help with tips.

No as I have to assemble about 29238911 minis first! :D
Already done: Groq-Gar & Grymlok, 1 Stegadon and 50% of the top, Old Blood, about 20 mixed minis (Skinks, Temple Guard, Saurus Warriors, Cavalry).

Still to go: 1 Stegadon, 1 Bastiladon, Skink Starpriest, 3 Kroxogors, 1 Slann and 2 battalion boxes BUT the few mixed minis listed above. :D

I'd suggest starting a painting log and taking them in stages.

Absolutely agree. It helps with motivation a lot.

I generally paint ranks of 5 infantry (3 in the case of saurus) that are bluetakd on jumbo popsicle sticks. makes it easier to manage.

shields i paint seperate.

My army theme will be nature-related, guardians of the forest, jungle, whatever. I'll use several colors to paint the minis but won't go for Games Workshop's style. My choice will be green and variations, just like Orcs and Goblins with different green tones, representing different tribes and origins.

Green is a great choice!

Greetings!
Like many fellow forumites here I am most pleased to welcome you in our jungle of awesome lizardness. I shall love to see the pics of your army as well. And fear not, we have all been there, having shaky hands and poor control of the brush. It will pass. Either the hobby or bad skills. )
