    Hi guys,

I have recently bought the new army book (english version) and I can't help but notice the numerous typos and spelling mistakes in the book.

Do you have the same problem?

Yes, I've noticed, but they're not massive errors. The worst one is on the Terradon's page, where it refers to page XX.

I haven't actually bothered to care looking through the whole book yet. :smug: I got the rules and the interesting fluff... by that I mean "City of ghosts" and such.

Otherwise I don't bother with typos...

@ asrodig - I tried looking for the terradon entry you mentioned however I could not find any mistake there o_O

@ hellbreaker - to be honest I do in fact enjoy reading through all the book including the fluff and such so it does bother me when I buy a book with good money and whoever wrote the book did not even bother to proof read it

The types of errors I am referring to are clearly misprints due to a lack of proper attention from those concerned. An example is "invoke the this grand spell" pg.62. I encountered many such mistakes (perhaps 1 every 2 pages or so) and I was curious whether these mistakes recur in all prints of the book. I bought mine from ebay since it is much cheaper than from my local store (not a GW store and therefore more expensive than GW rrp) and now that I am seeing these errors I was wondering whether this was some defective copy or something.

Nope, the book is full of typos. They clearly did not read through it very well before sending it to press. I think the worst page is the Slann one, in his rules there are at least 2-3 errors all quite close together, it is quite poor and detracts from the quality of the book.

It just illustrates (along with the length of time it takes them to do a much needed FAQ) that GW is a model making and selling company, and only provides the rules to help sell the models. They don't care about the rules, and the rules will never be 'perfect' and balanced because then there will be no need to make and sell more.

It's actually on the Tiktaq'to page. It says: "Zwup follows all rules for normal Terradon except that after he has used the Drop Rocks special rule (see page xx), Zwup's attacks gain the Killing Blow rule."

    @ asrodig - found it :)

I'm telling you guys I was sure that I had a defective copy or something and I was already preparing to send it back from where I bought it! I just couldn't believe that they could make so many mistakes. A couple here and there is normal but not to the scale that is in this book. There are even fullstops in the middle of sentences!

Anyway thanks for the info. Don't need to send it back now since I know that they are all like that :(

    I just hope a Slann Magwe-Priest is the same as a Slann Mage-Priest :(

"Arrayed for war" is similar to "ready for war" or "prepared for war".
